With a run of over 2,000 episodes, the popular television show 'Balika Vadhu,' that traces the arduous journey of a child bride from the brink of childhood to womanhood, has made its way to the Limca Book of Records as the longest running daily fiction soap in Hindi. In a statement, Manisha Sharma, programming head of channel Colors, said that the show's meaningful content, endearing story-line and inspirational characters have created a strong impact on the mind of the viewers.
